This week, Massoth will start the delivery of the third series of their automatic uncoupler. The second version saw some improvements over the first series, it’s unclear in which areas the third version will be improved over version two.
Shawn Conahey of the “USAT G Scale Group” fan page on Facebook announced that USA Trains will produce the heavyweight passenger cars. The heavyweights will be available in the Ultimate Series. Moulds are currently being finished, release is planned in the first quarter of 2018.
An official announcement is said to follow in the future.

Massoth introduced a new sound project for the BR 118 diesel locomotive (available from PIKO), available for the Massoth S, LS and XLS sound decoders.
The sound project is now available to download via the Massoth Service Tool (MST).

- 96250 Speeder “Union Pacific”
- 96251 Speeder “PRR Maintenance of Way”
- 96252 Speeder “Santa Fe”

PIKO celebrated the upcoming release of their new BR 118 diesel locomotive with a “Roll Out” event for selected members of the press.

The BR 118 will be released next month, and will cost € 450,00 (MSRP).
