If you landed on this page, you have probably scrolled through the post archive and reached this final page in the queue…
G Scale News started as a single page on my train blog in 2010, and early 2011 I set up this website. In the beginning, GSN was a simple HTML website I made myself, which had a lot of shortcomings. Early 2012 I switched to WordPress to improve functionality and because it simply looked a lot better. I’m writing this post in November 2016, and a lot of things have changed since I rebuilt the website in WordPress.
I have recently archived all posts from 2013 and 2012, for a few reasons. English is not my first language, so needless to say my English today is a lot better than it was in 2012. I wasn’t happy with the quality of those posts, so I had two options: update/improve them, or archive them. I looked at the Google Analytics statistics for the past two months, and they showed me the posts from 2012 and 2013 were barely visited (less than one percent of the total visits). So instead of wasting time updating those posts, I thought archiving them was the best choice. A lot of them were missing images too, and outbound links often were not working anymore.
So I hope this posts clarifies why some older posts are gone, and why I thought this change was necessary.
