The boxes from PIKO are always good. Compared to the cheap cardboard boxes LGB uses, this gives me a little more confidence my rolling stock is well protected.

These are on both sides of the deck, so you can easily secure loads. PIKO tried to imitate a wooden floor here, and it looks rather good.

Conclusion:

When the first rendered images appeared in 2012, I feared these cars would be too toylike. PIKO proved me wrong, these freight cars (I have reviewed some others as well) look great and offer a reasonable amount of detail. The two-axle system works well, which ensures trouble-free running. If you’re in for some German standard gauge freight cars with a lot of variety, PIKO’s new range of two-axle cars is definitely for you.
