SKL 24 kit from Effe2Model

The Italian ‘Effe2Model’ small series manufacturer offers a SKL 24 kit. The SKL 24 can be found on many German narrow gauge railways in various colours and shapes. Information about the 1/1 model: http://www.eisenbahndienstfahrzeuge.de/skl/skl24/skl24.htm

Scale Model Figures

The international ‘Modelleisenbahn Figuren’ (‘Scale Model Figures’) webshop offers scale figures for almost all model railroad scales like Z, N, H0 and of course, G. ‘Modelleisenbahn Figuren’ has a wide variety of 1/22.5 and 1/25 scale figures, which are offered in sets from 10 pieces up to 10.000 pieces. Unpainted figures are also available.

Heyn Modellbau Turntables

Two weeks ago, POLA G announced they are discontinuing their turntable kits. As an alternative, G Scale News mentioned the Thiel turntables.

G Scale News received an e-mail from a blog reader about the turntables by “Modellbau Heyn”. Heyn offers turntables in different sizes and designs.

All turntables are operated manually, but can be fitted with an electric drive unit.

HollandRail NS Koploper

Dutch manufacturer HollandRail announced their first model at the end of 2010: the ‘Koploper‘ (ICMm) in service of the ‘Nederlandse Spoorwegen‘ (Dutch Railways).

The ‘Koploper’ will be built in exactly 1/26.7 scale. Despite its length (about 3 meters long), the ‘Koploper’ can still run through R1 curves.

The train is powered by two motors. All units have ball-bearing metal wheels and a fully equipped interior with interior lighting. The front and rear lights change with the direction of travel. A Massoth 6A digital decoder is installed, which can be used on analogue lay-outs too.
